As the name implies, ChristianDatingForFree offers its members free online dating tools. The best of these are community features such as message boards, which allow members to discuss topics openly. These forums offer a great space to meet people in a relaxed atmosphere, based on your views and opinions.
If you’re not someone who likes to approach people by sending them a direct message, you can get yourself noticed by your involvement in the community. Whilst being able to date online for free is always a bonus, the site doesn’t perform so well in some areas, meaning that we don’t always feel it’s the best option for everyone.
One of the first things we noticed is that the profiles aren’t as in depth as you’ll find elsewhere. Some profiles just read like a list of statistics, which is hardly a useful way to attract potential dates. You can upload photos, although they can be of variable quality. Still, this is free so we can’t complain too much.
Meanwhile, the search options are pretty extensive, and you can choose from a wide range of Christian denominations, which will come in handy if you’re looking for someone of a particular system of beliefs. Results can also be filtered to exclude members without photos, and you can save your search preferences so that you don’t have to keep ticking the same boxes each time. That’s a real time saver if you spend any considerable amount of time using the website. Members tend to be primarily from the US, with links to find individuals in a particular state, although there are members from elsewhere too.
Since members aren’t charged to use the site, we found that quite a few profiles were inactive. After all, there’s nothing to lose by leaving your profile active but not actually using the website. It would be useful if the admin team focused on getting rid of some of these unused profiles because it makes searching a little more difficult.
That considered, there are genuine members on here, and, if you’re patient, you will find them. A useful tip in finding those members is to use the forums and to see who is active. Sadly there aren’t many other features to speak of, although you can send emoticons in your messages, which adds a little bit of fun to proceedings.
With members in the USA, UK, Canada and other parts of the world, it is worth checking out what this website has to offer. It does offer a few basic communication tools, plus an upgrade package so that you can talk using a live chat feature.
However, this free service doesn’t always perform well, and so we really only recommend it for people who really have nothing to spend on a more developed dating site. Still, whilst ChristianDatingForFree isn’t really going to win any major awards, it’s a free service so there’s nothing to lose by giving them a try.

So, unless your marketing team is a super awesome, skilled team, online dating profiles should only show what you like. You are trying to get out of a space where people are going to feel the need to make assumptions about who you are. And if they do, they are wrong. You don’t have to have an amazing job, amazing car, or money, and you don’t have to be super outgoing, friendly, smart, attractive or wear a dress that reveals a lot of skin or be a brunette.
